Very interesting remarks from Daniel. Daniel wrote about the art of making a quality screencast versus Animoto -type applications. I was particularly interested in hearing more about how to incorporate higher order level thinking into a screencast. I’m a professor and I find it hard enough to incorporate higher order level thinking into everyday assessments, let along my screencasts. Students prefer the simple, base type questions that require mere rote memorization instead of questions requiring the application of what I’m assessing. I’m familiar with several taxonomies (including Bloom’s). Why not create a taxonomy for higher order level thinking in screencasting? That would be awesome. I see an article there.

Thanks Daniel – it’s true, you are more than a Screencaster 🙂 and I appreciate all of the content you have developed and shared; content I have gratefully learned over the years. I can only respond to the software I use which is: Articulate Rapid eLearning Studio (Presenter, Engage, Quizmaker), Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate & Presenter and last, but not least, TechSmith Camtasia Studio and Snagit. Cheers, Jason
